Today we will practice our Secure the School command. This is a procedure we would use if there was a threat to our school with some sort of violent intruder. The chances of this ever happening is remote but being prepared for it will most certainly save lives. This drill is more intense that our previous ones and we must practice it exactly as we talked about at our last Town Meeting. When the command is given students will be taking a defensive posture in the classroom while the teacher closes and locks the door. For the duration of the drill student MUST remain silent, so that the intruder would not know anyone was in the room. This drill could last a while as Mr. Keane and Mr. Gaw will be checking all classrooms for silence and locked doors. Any classes outside will huddle and remain outside for the duration of the drill.
