Sarah Richards, Elizabeth Gray, Sam Maines, and Sam's friend Tyler (home-schooled) went to SeDoMoCha yesterday afternoon.  I consider that a good showing, since many of our chess students are also involved in spring sports.

We won 9 games and lost 4 to SeDoMoCha!

Next Thursday will be a regular club meeting, there will be no meeting on May 26 (I have another commitment), and June 2 will be our last meeting (Students said I'm excused on the 26th, but have to make up my time).  I'm going to try to set up another match with SeDoMoCha on June 2.

Congratulations to PCHS girls tennis players Lucinda Wingert and Alanna Whitney for earning seeds in this weekends State Individual Tennis Qualifier Tournament. Alanna, voted on by the coaches of the Zone 2 teams, received a 9th seed...that's pretty  good for a #2 player from a class C school. They are competing against ALL classes A, B and C. Lucinda by virtue of this years undefeated record and 3 consecutive successful attempts to qualify out of the first round received a #2 seed!!!!!  This is an awesome accomplishment! Many schools don't get ANY seeds and we have two. No matter what happens this weekend, we are already proud!
