Blue Day

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  To the PCSS bands and chorus. Last night was a gala event and people were saying it was a concert to remember. We were first treated to the melodious sounds of our guitar students playing familiar chords and even the blues jam session. Great job to the guitarists especially Zach Fortier who anchored the group with his mean base rhythm. Great job to the Junior Band who demonstrated how a musical score is put together in a complete song. The chorus was fantastic as they delighted the crowd with their angelic voices. The Chariots of Fire theme song was provicimo!! And lastly the Senior Band was absolutely electrifying and their song entitled NOVENA was incredible. Great job to all our musicians and singers for putting on quite a show!! And many thanks to Mr. Carey for coordinating a great music program that was showcased last evening.

Good Luck to our Wrestling team as they travel to Dover for a match tonight. Our wrestlers have been making some amazing accomplishments and tonight's match should be quite a test for our young grapplers.

Good luck to the PCMS A basketball teams as they travel to Sebasticook this afternoon.

Good luck tonight to our JV and Varsity high school basketball teams. Our Lady Pirates travel to GSA for a rescheduled game with their coastal foe and the Man pirates play at home against the undefeated Central team.  Both Contest should be exciting.

Lunch Today is a Ham dinner

Congratulations to Mrs. Lavigne for being the first in answering yesterday's Christmas trivia quote.

Blue Day

Congratulations to the PCHS boys basketball teams in their hard fought contests last night. In the JV match up the team came up short but great performances were put in by Damyan True and Jared White. In the Varsity game the Boys saw a 10 point lead in the first half dissolve to a being down by 4 points in the fourth quarter, but they rose up like a pirate mutiny and handed George Stevens Academy a sound defeat. All who attended would tell you it was a great game with our PCSS boys showing a lot of character.

Stay tuned about after school activities we will be making a call at some point today. If our Girls do get their game in we wish them the best of luck as both the JV and Varsity teams take on GSA. JV game starts at 5:30 pm.

Just a heads up to any students riding snowmobiles to school. Please do not ride on the playing fields and make sure you park your sled on the hill area in the front of the building. If you are intending to ride your sled to school please see Mr. Keane for a snowmobile permit.

Boys soccer @ Greenville

Wow!! Great game in Greenville. We scored first when Mitchel Noyes crossed the ball to Nate Burns with 22:04 left in the first half. 45 seconds later Tristan French headed a Nate Burns corner kick into the back of the net. 5 min later Greenville scored off a big throw in. The second half started 2-1. Greenville got a PK 9 minutes into the half to tie it at 2. That shifted the momentum in Greenville's favor and they pressured our net for the next 20 minutes, but the Pirate defense held strong. We finally stole the momentum back and keep the ball in Greenville territory and with 30 seconds left in the game Nate Burns headed a Will Willard cross in to the Laker net to put  us ahead 3-2. Jeremy Bell made 11 saves on 16 shots. GREAT GAME GUYS!! GO PIRATES!!
