Gold Day

At this time there is no plan for early release and all after school activities are still on as far as we know. We will keep you posted as the day goes on.

Starting on Monday there will be intramural Volleyball sign ups. in the cafeteria. Intramural Volleyball will happen after vacation for three weeks on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 - 4:00 pm. Teams will consist of 7-10 players and must be coed and have middle school students. Teams will be selected on Draft Day the week of February 9.

If the game is played tonight, good luck to our Boys basketball Teams as the head to Central for a really big late season game.

Congratulations to Alex Speed for winning the 92.9 the ticket High School Athlete of the week. That makes twice this year. Great job Alex!!!

Blue Day

Nate Burns scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as Piscataquis Community High School of Guilford upended Foxcroft Academy last night!

Tristan French had 14 points for the winners, Jeremy Bell had 12 and Bryce Gilbert had 10 points. Benjamin Morrill added nine more. Great job to our man pirates!

Good luck tonight to the Lady Pirates who are traveling to Dexter for a big pre tourney match up. 

Also, good luck to our middle school A and B basketball teams as the take on Ridgeview Tonight. A teams play away and B teams are home.

Gold Day

Students should be in Homerooms this morning and schedules will be handed out at this  time. Students, if you have any gaps in scheduling then please see Guidance during the gap period in your schedule.

Town Meeting is at 8:15 am this morning. We will be calling folks down as soon as we are ready in the gym.

Great job to our Boys and Girls High School Varsity Basketball Teams last Friday as they both were victorious at the Eliza Jean Foundation "Fill the Gym" night.

We want to give a big shout out tp the Pep Band and chorus for a great atmosphere in the gym last Friday. The band sounded tight and the chorus was melodious. Great job to all those students.

Blue Day

Good Luck tonight and over the weekend to all out athletic teams.  A teams in the Middle School are home against Warsaw tonight.  The Middle School B teams are at Warsaw tonight. Our wrestlers have a meet all the way up in Caribou tomorrow. And tonight there is a a big night for our PCHS Varsity Basketball teams as they host the Fill The Gym event to benefit the Eliza Jean Scholarship. Both teams will be taking on Stearns.

Congratulations to the PCHS basketball teams. The boys had a convincing win over rival Penquis on Friday night. They will be taking on the Tigers of Dexter tonight in an important heal point game.

The Lady Pirates won both of their games over the long weekend as well....Erin Speed hit a shot with 5 seconds remaining in the game to give them the win over Central.  They also used a balanced attack to cruise to the win over Bangor Christian last night.

NHS Jean Drive

The high school National Honor Society is looking for your help.  We are gathering gently used jeans from now until Feb. 15.  Over 1 million teens have experienced homelessness and the one time they often request is a pair of jeans.  This jeans drive will help supply teens in the US and Canada with at least 1 pair of jeans.   The donations can be given to any NHS member or brought into Mrs Doherty's room.  The jeans will be recycled into new jeans.  Thank you.

Gold Day

Congratulations to the Girls Basketball teams last night. The JV team nearly toppled their GSA opponent and in the varsity game a low scoring nail biter nearly gave coach gaw a coronary, however the lady Pirates prevailed 28-26.

Good Luck to our High School Boys basketball teams as they take on PVHS in an away contest tonight. Ans good luck to the middle school B Basketball teams as the oppose Sabasticook middle school at home tonight.

A reminder to high school students that you will be receiving an email sometime before Monday explaining where you should be reporting for make up work on Monday during Pirate Specials. If you do not receive an email you will be reporting to the Gym during the first lunch and you will be eating second lunch.

Blue Day

Congratulations to the Boys basketball teams in two great games last night. The JV team almost overcame a ten point deficit last night to win the game but their efforts came up a bit short. In the Varsity game the Pirates defeated a very determined ponies team. Most of the game was back and forth but in the end the Pirates prevailed.

Good luck to our middle school A basketball teams as they take on Penquis tonight.

And here at home the girls basketball teams are hosting GSA Jv Starts at 5:30 pm Good luck to our Lady Pirates.

Gold Day

Congratulations to our wrestling team in the only Home meet of the year. All of the wrestlers did a great job and represented our school in a superb way. We are very prod of these athletes and wish them luck in their season.

Great job to the Lady Pirate High School Basketball team in the win over PVHS last night. Both the Varsity and JV played excellent games.

Good Luck to our Boys Basketball teams as they take on the Dover Foxcroft Ponies tonight here at PCSS.

Just a reminder to students to get your incompletes taken care of before next week. High School students will be assigned to intervention sessions during Pirate specials if work still needs to be made up.

Today and Tomorrow there will be auditions for the MPA One Act Play competition. Mr. Keniston is looking for some great actors to put on a great play. These auditions will begin at 3:00 pm in the guidance office

Blue Day

Just a reminder to the high school students, we will be suspending Pirate specials next week. By the end of the week you will be getting an email letting you know where to report during Pirate specials. If you have incomplete work or have a low average, you will be going to those teachers that you owe work in.  All students that are completely caught up and who do not receive an email will be reporting to the gymnasium.


Congratulations to the Boys Basketball teams as they defeated Bangor Christian last night. In the JV contest The boys won in overtime with Cameron Kane making the baskets to take the lead. The Boys Varsity team cruised to their victory with a great team effort by all.

Good Luck to our High School Girls Basketball teams at they travel to PVHS tonight.

Good luck to our wrestlers for their only Home meet of the year. That meet starts at 6:00 pm We hope to see as many students there as possible and don't forget that admission if free for students tonight!!!

Congratulations to the PCHS basketball teams for the tremendous first half of the respective regular seasons....the boys are currently ranked 5 in the Eastern Maine Class C standings and the girls are currently ranked 1st.

The PCHS wrestling team is off to a very good start as well with many of the teams individuals earning multiple wins....They would like to extend an invitation to all PCSS students to come see the wrestling team in action this Tuesday Jan. 6 for their only home meet of the season. They will be competing against Foxcroft Academy, Dexter and Penobscot Valley.The administration is offering FREE ADMISSION TO THIS ONE TIME EVENT FOR ALL PCSS STUDENTS!!
