Ad Hoc Committee on Senior Privileges tonight after school at 3:00 pm in the Library

Today we will practice our Secure the School command. This is a procedure we would use if there was a threat to our school with some sort of violent intruder. The chances of this ever happening is remote but being prepared for it will most certainly save lives. This drill is more intense that our previous ones and we must practice it exactly as we talked about at our last Town Meeting. When the command is given students will be taking a defensive posture in the classroom while the teacher closes and locks the door. For the duration of the drill student MUST remain silent, so that the intruder would not know anyone was in the room. This drill could last a while as Mr. Keane and Mr. Gaw will be checking all classrooms for silence and locked doors. Any classes outside will huddle and remain outside for the duration of the drill. Thanks for your cooperation in these safety procedures.

Blue Day

Great job to all the students who participated in the Homecoming dress up on Tuesday. The creativity in costumes was awesome. Check out the pictures posted at the PCSS yearbook facebook page when you get a chance.

Today we are going to practice a "Clear the Halls" drill. This drill may be used if we have some sort of incident that we need students to stay in class for. This may include a medical emergency or a problem in the hall that is causing a dangerous situation or anything that we would want students to stay in their classrooms. When the signal is given we ask that any student who is out of the room returns to their classroom and that the teacher shuts and locks the door. Phys ed and any outdoor classrooms return to their rooms. While the school is on a  Clear the Halls command teaching continues as normal and the only real difference is that we keep everyone in classrooms. No students can go the the bathroom, library or office at this time. The drill today will last as long as it takes for Mr. Keane and Mrs. Mcphail to check all rooms for locked doors. Again, please take these drills seriously and understand that the primary purpose for having the drills is to keep PCSS safe. Thank you for your help with this effort!

Good luck to the Middle School soccer  and Field Hockey teams in their matchups tonight  and we wish the best for  the PCHS boy's soccer team as they take on PVHS at PVHS

Lunch today is a Meatball Sub

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Chapdelane

Lunch today is a Monte Cristo sandwich.

Today is the day for our second evacuation drill of the year. There are some new procedures that your teachers will be going over with you at the start of class. We will be letting people know about this drill prior to the alarm system going off and we will review the procedures expected for students at that point. Again, these drills are incredibly important to be prepared in the event of any kind of emergency. Later this week we will also be practicing our other two drills and again we will be getting on the intercom and letting people know what the appropriate procedures are. I ask that all students and staff be patient, supportive and focused as we practice our safety drills this week.
