Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
***to be read by Macee Pearl***
1 in 3 teens in the United States has experienced some form of abuse by a dating partner. February marks "Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month" and there's a movement happening in Maine that we would like PCSS students to participate in. There's an opportunity called a "Wave of Change" happening throughout our State where students are asked to gather and do the Wave. The video will be posted on Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance's facebook page as well as the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence with the hashtag ActToEndIt. We are asking you to pick up a permission slip from Mr. Bennett that has to be signed by a parent or guardian to be included in the video. 19 students from Dexter Regional High School have already participated and we want to do better. So please see Mr. Bennett and return your permission slips by February 25th so that we can challenge another school to participate in this awesome opportunity!
